CanCURE at the Canadian Association for HIV research conference
CanCURE researchers and students participated in a great number at the Canadian Association for HIV Research (CAHR) conference last April. More than 16 CanCURE researchers, as well as several students and community members attended the presentations and presented their research. Community members and student-researchers exchanged their knowledge by participating in the science buddy program, a reciprocal knowledge exchange and learning opportunity through the pairing of emerging scientists and community members. A private CanCURE mid-year meeting was also organized as an ancillary event and brought together twenty participants. At this meeting, five researchers presented the progress of their work and Dr. Cohen gave an update on the status and guidance of the consortium.
