CanCURE supports trainee for advanced course on infectious diseases

Dr. Wei Cao (Postdoctoral Fellow from the lab of CanCURE Principal Investigator Dr. Jean-Pierre Routy, of the RI-MUHC) was jointly supported by CanCURE and the CIHR International Infectious Diseases & Global Health Training Program (IID & GHTP) for participation to an advanced course on the ecology of infectious diseases at the University of Manitoba last May. Held over a 2-week period, this class was hosted by IID & GHTP under the coordination of Dr. Keith R. Fowke, CanCURE Principal Investigator and Training Module Leader from U. Manitoba. With 14 other local and international trainees, Dr. Cao engaged in projects related to various topics, including pathogenesis of infectious diseases, epidemiology, public health as well as knowledge translation. Congratulations to nominee Dr. Cao for her valuable efforts towards this wonderful training opportunity!
