Éric Cohen and Mariana Bego named "Personalities of the Week" by La Presse

Dr. Éric A. Cohen, Team Leader and Principal Investigator for CanCURE, and Dr. Mariana G. Bego, research associate in Dr. Cohen's laboratory (at the IRCM, Montréal), were named "Personalities of the Week" (Personnalités de la semaine) by the Montréal newspaper La Presse. This award highlights the achievements of Quebec or Canadian personalities from different fields. The investigators received this recognition for their efforts in HIV Cure research and their scientific finding on how the virus escapes the host's antiviral responses, recently published in the scientific journal PLoS Pathogens.
