Conference on HIV treatment and screening held in Montréal
CanCURE member Dr. Jean-Pierre Routy hosted a conference at the Sofitel Hotel in Montréal last September 30th, which was supported by the AIDS and Infectious Disease Network (SIDA-MI) of the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS) and by several organizations involved in HIV treatment and research, including CanCURE. The invited speaker Pr. Yazdan Yazdanpanah (Bichat hospital, Paris, France) gave a French presentation of utmost interest entitled Traitement précoce du VIH et rôle du dépistage systématique ou ciblé : implications pour les personnes et la communauté. A very fruitful discussion led by HIV clinical experts followed the conference, including Dr. Réjean Thomas (Clinique médicale l’Actuel), Dr. Bertrand Lebouché (McGill University Health Centre), and Dr. Pierre Côté (Clinique médicale Quartier latin).
